About me
I grew up immersed in stories - through books, painting, conversation, and family storytelling.
From an early age, I identified as a writer, a path that later led to creating the book Venus in Time and performing poetry as part of that creative work.
I have spent many years teaching drama, speech, literature, and project-based learning, with a deepening interest in how stories shape identity, resilience, and wellbeing.
My work increasingly focused on how personal challenges can be understood within broader social and cultural narratives. During the extended lockdowns in Naarm/Melbourne, I undertook a Master’s in Narrative Therapy and Community Work at the Dulwich Centre.
My thesis explored how drama can support young people experiencing rural isolation, strengthening connection and resilience for individuals, families, and communities. My practice is grounded in creativity, mindfulness, and trauma-informed care.
I am a mother of two young women and value long-term partnership, authentic friendship, and sustained creative practice. I sit with the Melbourne Zen Group and Zen Open Circle, and value deep listening, presence, and meaningful conversation.
